I am assuming that the amp is non simul-class is this correct?

Also, what are your opinions on how this would affect the tone vs and mark iv or v?

I'm just curious as to what the perceived differences would be.

Correct. The JP-2C is based off of John Petrucci's favorite Mark IIc+ that he owns, which is a 60 Watt non Simul-Class head.
