Is the reverb pre or post effects loop?

The reverb is pre fx loop on the mark V. I'm not sure why Mesa designed it this way, (Im sure there is a good technical reason), but its a buzzkill if you run a volume pedal in your fx loop.
The Volume pedal will cut off the tails of the reverb.

That's interesting.
I'm running a delay in the loop.
Would be better having the reverb running after the delay

Indeed. I inevitably now have a small spring reverb pedal that lives last in my fx loop chain.
