1. If you are running in mono use the Send jack out into your amplifier. This provides a bold, open tone compared to the standard output jacks.
2. While using the Send output as described above manipulating the A & B volume controls affects the tone. Neither a bug or a feature, just a quirk.
3. For stage use a 3 in, 1 out loop pedal running cables from a Recording, Main, and Send outputs for foot switchable variance in tone and volume.

Pretty cool eh?
 
Thanks for the advice. FWIW, I tried out #2 and the volume knobs on my Quad Preamp do not affect the tone when using the fx send. #3 is intriguing although I doubt I'll try it, I have too many options as is!

Normal shielded cable jack here I guess?

When you say amplifier you also mean poweramp?
