As u guys know , the Mark IV is a beast! Many situations I need to tame it down to lower wattage. I'm also thinking this would make it a little easier to get in the sweet spot. Can I put el84s or 6v6s in the outside sockets? If so, with what results? Thanks for any info.
 
hey,

you can use 6V6's in all 4 sockets, but you need it in tweed and simul, and they suggest using an 8 ohm speaker in the 4 ohm tap so the tubes have more life.
