Just bought a IIC+, and needed to replace tubes and a reverb tank. While the chassis was on the bench, I found a piece of wood glued between the power and choke trannies. The choke reads Mesa 38-15115 EIA606-336. Guessing chunks of wood glued between transformers is not typical build...any ideas on it's purpose? Anyone else ever find such a thing?

Its a stock/OEM thing.

Keep's em from vibrating in an audible manner . 8)

thanks - that's what I figured it's purpose was, but I would have never guessed it's out of the factory that way. A ruler may have helped that...

My IIC+ also has it. Although it fell out, so it's just stuffed in there with no glue really holding it well in place.
