Is it the resistor just next to the cap in my pic. I only ask as my meter is fubar and so I'm doing this by sight...

So before I screw my DC10 over, does that look about right? :D

Cheers fella, I was hoping it was.

I checked the voltage left in the caps and they have discharged, its also been off for 24 hrs and I will cut the resistor tomorrow, so 48hrs by the time I get my mitts in there.

I just cannot get my meter to give me a reading on the resistor, though I checked the bands on my iPhone app (well handy) and it says 220.

Just didn't want to trash my nice new amp head. :D

Call Mesa and get a replacement pot for the push/pull pot on the Clean Gain.
The taper is dramatically different than the taper of the Output Volume.

Install the new pot where the Output Volume pot is.
Add the 220k resistor to the push/pull.

Now.....
4 or 5 on the volume (pushed in) will be the volume you have at 2 or 3 on the original pot without the resistor.
I did this on my DC-5 because 2 was all I could get out of the amp at band practice without drowning the other guys out.

Plus.....the push/pull lets you keep the dramatic volume boost for outdoor gigs!
When you pull the pot out, the amp will sound like a jet coming in for a landing! Loud as hell!!!!!!
