Hi,
I made some sound tests with my new MXR M-108 EQ.
I had to get that pedal because I don´t like Triaxis DV.
Now I can see what my EQ does.

Here is the sound clip: http://koti.welho.com/ninhyyti/TuscanyIntroTest.mp3
Backing track is from sepcial edition isolated tracks.
Played with JP BFR6
TS9DX at front
Triaxis/2:90
Triaxis loop: G-Force and MXR EQ
2x12 Mesa rectifier cab
mics: Shure sm57 and Sennheiser md421-II recorded to two strips.
At the mix shure is 60% Sennheiser 40% of the sound.

I try to get that Petrucci sound feeling here, but not exactly the same.

How does it sound?
Thanks for listening!

This is a great tone you dialed in! It has a very similar character to his tone at this part, but maybe a little bit less high end on it. The tube screamer might be adding a little more low mids, as well, that make your tone a bit 'rounder' than what he has, but it's a very slight difference. I wouldn't frown at this tone whatsoever, so I'd keep it the way it is!

Thanks man!
I liked to have it more liquid because that sound is so difficult to play with... maybe I have to update my skills, not the tone itself
And now it has too much "heavy metal" character.
Need some "sweetness"
