Hey gang,
I've decided to sell my beloved (more than I can express here) MK IIC+. Rather than just go ahead and post it in the classified section, I thought it would be fun (healing?) for me to share these pics with you and maybe have some of you chime in with any notable attributes about this amp you may spot. She's an HRG 2C to C+ conversion (the best I can tell after reading the IIC+ for dummies thread here on the Boogie Board) and is a pure tone house. I've done the loop test and she checks out. I am the second owner of this amp and the third owner of the hardwood cab/hardwood combo. My best friend is the original owner of this amp and even has his last name written on top of the chassis as was the norm back then at Boogie. The road cases for the hardwoods will have their interior foams replaced before I ship them. The original foam inside these two cases has deteriorated to crumbs and I just don't want to put the hardwoods in them without being properly protected (especially if I'm going to ship them to their new owner). Anyways, take a look and let's have a fun chat/theraputic send-off for my old friend.

I'd like to post this amp in the classified section BUT, according to forum rules, I don't have enough posts to be allowed. If a moderator happens to see this thread, and your're ok with me posting my IIC+, then please email me and grant me your permission. I've been a steady lurker here on these forums for a few years and, even after I sell my IIC+, I'll still be a member of the family here since I still own a MK V, a Triaxis, a 2:90, a low serial number Studio Pre, 2 Mark Series 2x12's, AND a Boogie M-Pulse 600!

Isn't it generally considered a good practice to obscure the serial numbers of stuff like this when posted online? I could be wrong on this. I just see a lot of people doing that, so at least some people must think its a good idea.

I think you only need 10 posts to be able to post to the classifieds, your at 6 so you only need another 4...just bump this post 4 times or something...just a thought to help. Post a price too?

Good luck.

Hey guys!
As for the price, I'm kinda scratching my head a little bit. I'm open to offers of course, and I will decide on an asking price soon. I guess you could say I'm in the exploratory phase at the moment and I wanted to share my pics for conversation with fellow Boogie Board members and see if anyone had any interesting observations about my particular amp. Also, I'm weighing up what it'll cost to ship all this stuff - of course, I'm ok with someone driving to me for pickup and a going away party/therapy session too! I don't want to go against ANY Boogie Board rules which is why I didn't post it straight away in the classifed section (I don't have enough posts to do that within the rules). In reality, I've always been able to find pretty much ANY answer I've ever needed by just doing a search here and haven't really needed to post much. Guess that's coming back to bite me a bit now. I know the moderators here are really nice and they would probably be ok with me posting my amp if I just shot them a PM. I just felt that it may be a bit premature to do that since I'm early in the exploratory stage of selling it.

Now, as for posting the serial number, I felt that it would be prudent to post that so someone could see for themselves what I have to offer. I didn't want to leave any doubts or concerns about this amp. Is it risky to post my serial? Maybe. However, sometimes you've just got to have faith in your fellow man and, well, that's easier to do when you're talking about fellow Boogie Board members. :D

Thoughts? Thanks for checking out my pics guys!

It's more dangerous to post your real name than your amp's serial number. :? I wouldn't sweat it. That's a nice looking specimen. Assuming one of those empty combo cabs is the original? That's the most important one to list. You have all the desired updates, it's down to condition, IMO. Focus on the service records and anything of note from when the + upgrade was installed.

Just my $.02 worth. Good luck on the sale!

I could be talking out my a$$, but looking at the 1985 blue cap on the preamp board, I would guess the "+" mod was done in 1986 or so, which would leave me to believe Mesa has no record of the upgrade. Nice amp! let's get it to a good home!
where are you located? good luck with it!
