The plastic shaft on the lead treble pot of my Mark IV short head sheared off. I tried gluing the shaft back together, but it didn't last. Has anyone tried to replace the pot and, if so, how difficult was it, both the get to the part and then to put the new part in? Will Mesa sell an end-user a replacement directly?

YEp, I have replaced the gain pot on mine. Call Mesa, they will sell it to you directly. Probably 5 bucks plus shipping. They are not very hard to replace. Do you have any experience soldering? If so, its a piece of cake.

That's encouraging, thanks. I can do basic soldering, but am far from being very experienced. I suppose the first step is to get the replacement, then to try to gain access to the broken part to see how much room I have to work in.
