Reverb not always working?

I have a 2002 Mark IV combo with the separate Mesa/Boogie footswitch for the reverb. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Any suggestions? Thanks

Start checking the obvious first... bad cable, switch is bad on footswitch, jack needs to be cleaned. Is the reverb tank plugged in well? Clean the connections.

My reverb didn't work a while back. got new tubes, then it worked. Now, it stopped working again.
