I've got a 92 FR strat (HSS) and I want a pick-up that will get it close to my wolfgang, any suggestions? I don't want anything active. Been eying the DiMarzio D-Sonic or D-Activator.

If you dont want anything active the Dactivator isnt for you.....it sounds like an EMG.
You arent going to get a strat to sound like a basswood bodied maple topped guitar no matter what pickup you try. If you want a great humbucker that goes well in a strat the Duncan Custom Custom is a great choice.

I just put a JB/59 set in my custom HSH Peavey strat copy and the tone is KILLER. I used to have an EVO/PAF set in it, but they were too extreme for my tastes (EVO-too bright, PAF-too dark). The blue velvet in the middle works well with the JB/59 set as well... I'm very happy with it...

I have 3 Strats with a Dual in the bridge. Pearly Gates, FREAD, and a Screaming Demon. I love them all.
