I bought a Studio Caliber DC-2 recently and have really gotten to like it although it's taken a while. I made a phase inverter tube change to a 12AT7 which improved the tone. I'm am also considering changing V2 and V3 to a 5751. Any recommendations from the Cartel?
I should also mention that I'm running the amp a bit differently. I'm using the slave out into the power amp in of a Peavey Classic VTX series 2x12 combo. I really like how the 2x12's opened up the amp. The Scorpion speakers sound much better through the DC-2 versus the Peavey.
I would eventually like to get a head cabinet built for the DC-2 chassis. Any recommendations for custom built head cabs?
