Mini recififer volume fades...

Hi,
So the last two days after a couple of hours the volume slowly fades. Not to no sound but lower.
The first time it happened was after I did the one patch cable FX loop trick. Didn't hear a difference so took it out now nothing running in it. It's only 2 months so wouldn't be tubes? If I put one cable in the FX loop would it stop? What could it be !?

It could easily be tubes. Tube quality is terrible.

Does it happen on both channels?

Are you saying that one cable in the FX loop stops the problem, or asking if we think it will? I'm not sure why that would help.

It's only on channel 2. after reading on other threats people said put one cable in the fx loop and it might stop, did it and it seems ok now 'touch wood' so I guess the send and return jacks are dirty?

Doesn't make sense to me as both channels go through the loop and it is post-gain.

:?: I measured the decibels 6 hours apart and they were the same. Haven't bothered taking the cable out as its ok so I'll just leave it in.

I don't doubt it, but I don't understand it either.
