I am thinking of picking up a Mark V head and, for now, running it through my 1x12 Two Rock open back cab. It is has a 65 Watt Celestion Creamback in it. My goal would be to use it with this cab for awhile and if it isn't work, then buy a dedicated Mesa cab.

But what can I expect pairing the Mark V head with the 65 Watt Creamback?

I've a Marshall 1960a with original 1980 G12-65's Creambacks in.
Dunno whether its the speakers or the cab. But there is a distinct softening in the attack
It's nice, it works well

The obvious thing I'd say is for the sake of not blowing the speaker you should probably keep it in 45-w or 10-w mode. At lower volumes it shouldn't be an issue, but if you're turning it up much then better safe than sorry.
