I've read where some Mark IV owners proclaim their amp has a Default Channel (Rhy 1)
Mine does not, and from what I have gathered, it isn't supposed to.

My question is: Can I change any settings or mod the amp to default to Channel 1?
I am trying to use a MidiSolutions Relay (single relay) to switch between the Rhy1 and Lead Channels via Line6 HD500x.

Thanks in advance. This is my first post here, so take it easy on me. lol

Hi Greg,

First, make sure you set the rotary switch on the back of the amp to FT SW (you don't need to have your footswitch connected). This will automatically put your amp in state where you have a Lead channel (with EQ on) as a default one.

Now you can use a relay from your Line 6 (I use a G-major 2) and connect it to the external switching input for Rhy1 channel. If you have two relays you can connect Rhy2 channel as well and switch between all three channels from your external device.

Thank you! Too bad Rhy1 couldn't be the Default channel, but I appreciate it!

Basically, it's the same thing...as long as you can switch between two channels using one relay.
