I've had my red stripe combo for a few years and love it. Could never bond with the stock EV so put an MC-90 in it & liked it for a while, but
it still didn't do it for me. Picked up an Avatar/Fane M65 and have had this speaker in it for over a year and could not be happier.
All my settings have pretty much stayed the same except I can now turn the presence up past 3 which I couldn't do before.
I also put an M65 in my 1x12 extension cab. Anyone searching for a speaker might consider the M65 or something similar.
It also helps my past EQ issues when running R2 & the Lead channel together.
I do realize most people love the stock EV speaker.. Not me..
I had a Celestion G12K-85 in my old Blue Stripe combo and it sounded great too.
