I am struggling with a solo boost pedal. Note I am not using the solo function of the amp as I find the non solo signal dirtier and on channel 2 a bit muddy.
I am finding that clean boost pedals are working best for me all around. I have tried a number of overdrive pedals without success and am giving up on them in part because I am loving clean boost pedals through both channel 1 and channel 2.
I have an Xotic RC which is brilliant and because it is so wonderful I have it set as a clean eq that is left on all the time. I have swithed my MI Audio Blue Boy to a clean Boost but it is a little compressed Tubescreamerish. I have listened to the Java Boost and it sound like it pushes the amp, makes it sound angry without too much compression or overdrive and fattens your sound for solo's. Does anyone have any experience with this pedal?
