Apologies if this is a known thing among everyone, but this is my first boogie. When the power is on, switching in and/or out of standby puts a fairly loud thud across the speakers, doesnt matter if volumes are up or down. Is this normal on these amps ?
Is a 2010 classic 100/50/10 combo 2x12

thanks guys

I don't know about a thud, but getting a pop when in 10 watt mode and switching into standby is common. I have a 2009 LSC head.

thanks, i meant to say that it was in 10watt mode yes. Its a pretty big pop! just was worried a bit as never had an amp like this before.
I put it into 100w mode and its barely louder than the switch :D

thanks

I'm not an EE, and I won't even pretend like I understand what's going on in the circuit, but I do know that it is totally normal to hear a pop when switching in/out of the 10 watt mode. The Mark V also pops when using its 10 watt mode, and the Express amps have a similar issue with their 5 watt mode.
