hey guy's

i'm gonna do an audition for a guns n roses an aerosmith coverband here in Belgium called Guns 'n Aero's. i've got my tones but i would like to try some other settings on my stiletto deuce.

i'm looking for the typical plexi (old marshalls: the 1979 or 1959) tone.
i'm playing a les paul custom and a standard all hooked up with classic '57 humbuckers.

Now, my channel two is reserved for my guns n roses tone so i'll need to get it in my crunch mode of channel one.

any advise or settings? (maybe andy timmons?)

thanks a lot guys!

Both world-class Plexi tones - FACT !

Yep, I have the Radial Tonebone, and you will definitely get a sweet Plexi sound out of that thing. Plus it has a 12AX7 in it so you get great tube distortion.

Crunch mode on channel 1 and crank the volume.. tube rectifier

You really have to crank the volume.

hey thanks guys,
i'm gonna wake the neighbours!
i try to avoide distortionpedals as much as possible (only my tubescreamer) cause they just don't give the same thing as real amp.

greets

Boosting the crunch on channel one using the TS as purely a volume boost might help you get even more midrange into the mix though honestly I don't think you need it in this case.
