Fortuitous Twist o' Fate!!!!

Was messing around with my Roadster this am, before work, playing with tunes and tones.

Lately, I have found channel 2 in Brit mode to be pretty fun, and with marked promise, esp with a maxon 808 out front. (808 with OD at 0 and Balance at about 1:30....pretty much how I use the 808 on all channels when I need that bump 'to 11')

Well, on a whim, I went from Channel 3 on Vintage to 2 on Brit and found after being on 3, I wanted a bit more 'grunt and dirt'.

So, I hit the 808.... better...but not quite there.

So... I turned up the OD knob to about 10:00........

Holy Cow......Grunt, Dirt, Grit.....it had it all.


All in all a very fun and cool AC/DC, Zeppelin-like old school ROCK sound that sounded great with my Custom 24 and the HFS pu.

My Settings:

Spongy

Recto

Channel 2--Brit
Presence 930
Bass 1130
Mids Max
Treb 1100
Gain 230-300

Maxon 808

OD at about 1000
Balance at 130 (basically pointed at the upper right corner of the pedal)
Tone at 1200.


So give it a shot, tweak it a bit, and give me (us) your feedback.
