I'm about to buy a used Mark IV, which is supposed to be only 2 yrs or so old. Any easy way to confirm that it is, indeed, relatively new?

Ask for the Serial Number, and check it out with Mesa. They'd be able to tell you. Or some people here may be able to tell you the origin of the S/N.

Also if anyone chimes in, i'd like to know is there two different IV's? I've heard alot of chat recently about a Mark IV A, and Mark IV B? Is my mind just playin up? lol

Okay Back to Normal Discussion..

hey, go to my first post on The Mk iv.. that tell you all about date's of amp's and so on...

also there most likely be a to the month date written under the chasie...on the metal where the tubes are pluged in..

Wasn't on the chassis, but I called Mesa & they told me it was shipped from their factory a year ago... which is great, since that's newer than I thought it was!
