hi ,

i have a caliber 50 + and i was wondering if this is something i should worry about. : when i shut down my mesa , turning off the power ,but not using the standby switch i hear a kinda burp sound about 30 sec after it goes off.... is this normal? are the tubes and caps just discharging ? also i have that loud pop when switching between channels.. any fixes for this??

any help is appreciated

Hi Ti!

You should ALWAYS use standby switch when turning on/off your amp - For tube sake! But Your question: I have also accidentally turned off my Caliber 50+ w/o standby and I have not noticed any Burb sound - tough i think it might be normal when operating w/o standby. But switching between channels should be quiet- I think here you have a problem! Try switching w/o footswitch for start... or take it to repair!
