yeah, I was thinkin Ampeg or maybe Roland. He rocked that Les Paul for years. I read somewhere that it was wired like Peter Framptom's Les Paul where the middle pickup is always on. That could be where some of the thick tone is coming from. Listen to Framptom live and the lead tone is similar.
