Are there any sonic differences between the new 300 Watt Black Label EVM-12L and the 200 Watt Black Shadow EVM-12L's that were options on Mesa Boogie gear (I have one of these in a Mark IV combo). I am interested in these new speakers, but only if they are really EVM-12L's and not something else using the brand. One item that seems to be different is the frequency response on the EVM-12L "Classic" from the tech data is 80-5000K whereas the Black Label EVM-12L's have a claimed response of 80-7000K. I am concerned the extended freqency response would add harshness to the tone compared to the originals. Any one have the scoop on these.

Thanks

Looks like sam ash lowered the price by ~$90 to $249. You may be able to afford dialysis with the change.
