Yup that's right a Mesa 4x10 Metal Grille Halfback !!

Not sure how many Mesa made or if they ever went into production.
I'm assuming they didn't and speculating that these cabs were made as some sort of special order.
Anybody know more about these?

I did a search on the board but could only find two threads mentioning a 4x10 halfback (neither had pics).
One thread from 2007 and one in 2009. They seem to be a rare cab.

This 4x10 cab is similar in size to a 2x12 metal grille halfback
But it's slightly less in width compared to a 2x12.
23-1/8" versus 23-7/8"
I found this to be very interesting because at first thinking they might be a production 2x12 with a different baffle installed.
But being 3/4" less in width means this was not the case.
(Fwiw the height 27-1/8" and depth 15-3/4" are the same as the 2x12)

It is heavy. Probably due to the two EV's in it.
Yes it has two EV10L's in the bottom. They must weigh close to what 12L's weigh !
In the top are two Celestion G10-50's.

Anybody have one of these?
Or see another one of these cabs?

That's wild! i'd never heard of these before. i wonder which amp they were meant to be paired with. How's it sound?

Believe it or not I haven't had a chance to run anything through it just yet.
But that will likely change today.
I've got a couple of amps beside the C+ to push into this 4x10. Should be fun.
I can't thank you enough for your help on this one Scott.
