Can some of the experts here tell exactly what early Mesa Boogie Mark amp this is? Based on the serial number, I tend to call it a "Mark I", but with the features I've been told it is a "Mark II". Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Yes, I totally get how the amp is set up, but I just got it and it seems to still vary quite a bit in a live setting. Maybe there is something else going on, like transformer or tube issue. It also seems to depend on which setting I'm using also. On Ch 2. using the modern it seems quieter, than...

I'm not really sure about "ice picky" tone coming from any Mesa with V30s, maybe it's your settings. On my tremoverb, I actually turn the treble all the way off, and adjust the presence as needed for high end, but I'm not going for that scooped mids/metal tone either.

Maybe if I ask them really nicely, they could just replace the whole EQ? I'm considering sending it down to them to refurbish...

I've ended up with a Nomad 100 combo, and having a hard time getting it dialed in to something usable for gigs, all three channels have different output levels, and it's starting to drive me nuts. Any pointers?
