By 'Normal', I meant 75 watts in Simul-Class mode operation, and 12 Watts in Class A operation, as opposed to the much more powerful Coliseum.
The Coliseum was only available as a long chassis and does not have a Simul-Class/Class A switch like a ' normal' MK w/ the Simul-Class option.
Mine is S/N# K513 No stripe MKIII Coliseum Simul-Class. Simul-Class was an option, and on the MKIII Coli is always in that mode of operation. There is no Simul-Class/Class A switch like on the normal MKIII.
There was a IIC+, and a MKII Coliseum, but not a MKIIC+ Coliseum Simul-Class, if I recall correctly. Hetfield used a MKIIC+ Simul-Class head, not a IIC+ Coli
Hi Al-X,
I believe the "+" designation was to illustrate Simul-Class. I am not 100% on that (I wasn't aware that the '+' designation existed w/ the MKII Coliseum, but mine is a MKIII Coliseum Simul-Class head), so perhaps someone else can chime in. I have MKIII Coli Simul-Class S/N K513 (bough...
My guy will be relieved to know his job is safe. He gets paid well.
His daughter (8) will be happy to know she does a job that a grown man is afraid of. :D
My assistant and I move the gear pretty easily, and I am usually the 1st one setup and ready, and the first one packed up and ready to unload. The only thing really heavy (200 lbs) is the rack, and it's on casters. Sometimes my assistant's daughter even helps out, and she LOVE'S to help.

The secret tones I mostly had a hard time with (There are exceptions), weren't the one's derived mainly from a more traditional pedals approach. It was the rack rig tones, that were always elusive w/ a pedal approach as a solution, for me.
There came a point that I realized the core tones were...
I like the sounds from the Eclipse. Great unit, w/ lots of power and features which provide for lots of options. I use an Eventide too, but a different animal (H8000FW). I have built and programmed a few rigs which utilize the Eclipse, among other devices-- w/ a stereo line mixer, and I think...
Actually, the best gear in the world, assuming one knows how to use it, can/will make you sound better (sonically). It also does tend to inspire one to play more, and THAT does tend to make a marked improvement on one's playing ability.
