i was thinking Marshal, but i'm still not sure, there are so many tones in that amp it isn't even funny

the clean is American Fenderish, but what is the second and third modeled after. Marshall etc etc? or is it just a combination of all British amps? i hear a lot of classic Marshall tones in the second and third gain stages.

i haven't had any rattle with my 1x12 combo. very solid build, and heavy as hell

i'm waiting to get the volume trim installed as well, but i haven't really needed it. i guess i run the gain at the right spot where the gain stages are balanced, i don't know. if i go up on the gain then the difference in volume is noticeable.

me to, it handles what ever i throw at it, it's like Mesa built an amp perfect for my style/needs

i don't notice it so much when i play live as when i play at low volumes. i usually roll the volume back on the clean gain stage and then full throttle on the other gain stages when live, so i guess it balances its self out, but when i play it at low volumes i don't usually roll the volume back...

you guys might have been having trouble with the loop because it is a series loop and designed more for rack gear. i only run a boost/overdrive out front for different colors sometimes and that's it. i did try some of my other effects pedal out front and it took them well but i really prefer...

i'm still in shock, i have other cabs i thought i would always use, but my Electra Dyne combo gets all my attention. i would probably say it is the best sounding combo cab i have plugged into.

if the Electra Dyne cabs sound anything like the combo cabs then they will rock. i'm very impressed with the Electra Dyne combos cab.

i don't like mesa tubes. in my old rectifer, which i bought brand new, it blew two power tubes then one rectifer tube a month after i bought the amp, all mesa tubes. i took it in to have it looked and the guy said every thing fine and working properly and it had to be bad tubes because there...

but it doesn't seem like they are using mesa exclusively! when kirk has a randall model and james has been known for using deizel these days.

+1 they are a pain to dail in. all i can see them adding to make a mark V is just more crap. now if they take away all the crap then that might spark my attention more. i'm not knocking the mark IV it is a great amp, but when i had one i couldn't stand all the bells and whitsles. the same...
