i just added a boss ge7 eq to the effects loop of my tremoverb combo.
it improved every aspect of my tone, clean or dirty. the clarity and definition it brings is stunning.
theyre geared towards metal and modern rock. im sure theyre quite versatile, but to question a modern-day mark series amp's ability to do metal?
metal/modern tones are what theyre used for probably 90 % of the time, vaginaface.
ok. i own a tremoverb combo and ive used a dual rec head.
i prefer my tremoverb.
its a more refined amp, yet it gets just about as brutal.
the dual rec is very suited for heavy tones and does them well.
my tremoverb also gets brutal, but i like to walk the line so to speak.
im a guy who...
im gonna replace the battery and a/b it again.
i noticed this difference in tone with the wah since i started using my ge-7 eq. dont know if that has something to do with it. to me it doesnt seem like it would, but im no tech. :)
really noticed it yesterday. my crybaby wah seemed to suck the juice and sustain out of my tone.
i started out not using it. then i plugged it in and played a song with it.
after that one song i took it out of the chain. the tone was better, like it was before i plugged it in.
and the battery...
i jammed on my rig yesterday. im sorry to say i didnt write down my settings for my ge 7.
i keep the faders close to the middle except for boosting up the low mids and dropping the high mids a bit. nothing extreme. i havent tweaked much since the first day i tried it. it sounds awesome.
im...
you wont believe the difference when you try it. it magnifies everything you like about your tone and boosts its clarity. i used it once and just put all the settings in the middle. that alone made a huge difference. i wound up boosting the low mids a bit and it sounded even better. awesome...
not for me. i adore my v30s and hellatone 60s.. its tight and beautiful sounding to me. a mixture of soul and balls all the way up to brutal if necessary...yet always warm as ****.
my tremoverb really didnt seem muddy to me. i shouldnt have used that word.
but the eq improved the clarity and focus of the amp considerably.
i could be due for a retube. i will be retubing my amp this fall most likely.
i tried my boss ge-7 EQ on my tremoverb rig last night. it improved the amp's tone so **** much its insane. it was louder, clearer and more present without using more volume. its a must have. simply run it through your effects loop.
