Hey there! So I have 2 questions for you super-smart electronics guys here on the board. I want to rehouse my Express 5:50 footswitch, for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I HATE the location of the 5-pin jack. Hate it. I would like to move it to the back of the footswitch to make it fit better on my pedalboard. Secondly, I would like to make it a little smaller. I always have the Contour on, so I am considering removing it from the switch. Thirdly, I got my hands on one of those beautiful Hammond enclosures with the walnut sides. Seriously gorgeous. So I have 2 questions:

1. Would disconnecting the Contour switch and removing it from the circuit screw up the functionality of the rest of the footswitch, or the amp itself?

2. How difficult would it be to disconnect the 5-pin jack from the side of the PCB and move it to the back, and does anyone have a diagram for that?

TIA for your help!

Edit: I also leave the Reverb on all the time on both channels, I wonder if it would be possible to have a 1-button footswitch simply for changing channels? That would be even better. Thanks!

It looks like they are using standard size Hammond project boxes:
