hi everyone,

i have a mark v head and a rk212 recently and i am wondering how to connect.
here the head have 8Ω+8Ω (combo) and 4Ω+4Ω (2x8Ω cabs), and the rk212 has A closed 8Ω back + B open back 8Ω(split for stereo or bi-amp) and A/B Combined 4Ω.

so the connection:
A. head 8Ω----rk212 8Ω A closed + another head 8Ω---rk212 8Ω B open back
B. head 4Ω----rk212 8Ω A closed + another head 4Ω---rk212 8Ω B open back
C. head 4Ω----rk212 4Ω

pls help to check which one is right, thank you and have a good weekend.

Paul.

A is wrong and can harm your amp. B is correct but unnecessary and C ist also correct. In both B and C the two speakers will be run in parallel to make a total load of 4Ohms. The difference is just the place where they are connected. They will both sound identical but B will need one more speaker cable.
