So I made a massive improvement to my Mark V by changing out V4 and V6 for 12AT7 tubes, following the advice of many people, including those in this thread:

At the same time, I changed out the 2 Mesa 12AX7 tubes in V2 and V3 for Genelex Gold Lion tubes (already had them lying around). Unfortunately, however, it actually took away from Ch2. Less "umph".
What tubes do you guys recommend in V2 and V3 to give more meat and roar to channel 2? I don't mind a bit of experimenting and tube rolling, but since I don't have many tubes kicking around it could get expensive quickly.
