Hey all,
I am a long time MKII user but recently bought a multi watt dual rectifier used. After about 10-13 minutes of being on, there’s a pop and then the volume dips and the sound gets changes (certain frequencies vanish).
I’ve installed all new tubes and that didn’t help. I wrote Mesa and they said it’s not a tube issue and that I’ll need to see a tech. All well and fine except the closest Mesa tech is four hours away.
So, I guess I’m curious if anyone has a guess as to what’s happening with the amp so I can plan on how much the repair might cost. I am guessing a capacitor but I am no tech!
Thanks in advance for your collective wisdoms.
