Hi,

Edit. I investigated the problem more, and edited this first post:

I have a Rev. G Dual Rectifier. On 3 of the 5 modes, volume and sound is lacking. Here are sound samples. These are all recorded with identical settings on front panel pots, loop not engaged:

Master, presence, bass & mid - 10:30
Treble - noon
Gain - 12:30ish

1. Orange, clean rhythm. This sounds the volume I'd expect.
2. Orange, variable high-gain, normal (vintage). Volume drops significantly.
3. Orange, variable hi-gain, Org to Modern. This sounds the volume I'd expect.
4. Red, normal (modern). Volume drops, not as much as 2nd clip but enough to suspect something is wrong.
5. Red, red to vintage. Volume drops the most.

I put new Mesa power tubes and went through the preamp tubes one by one, replacing them with a good one. No change whatsoever. Any idea what might be causing this?
