Any one try to get mid 90s petrucci styled tones from the jp2c? I'm thinking live at the marquee and the awake album/ tour. Specially the rhythm crunch sound, it used to be more open sounding. Just wondering if the amp can get the catalog of tones or is more suited to the last few albums...

Legend has it that the same MOP / Justice era crunch berries amp was the main go to for Death Magnetic.. so theoretically you would want an amp that could sound like that... you just need an engineer and producer that give a ****... and a mix / master guy who doesnt put the levels to max...

I'd like to see a mini mark. Perhaps a single channel that has 1,2c,4... Or a clean / mark 1 channel and copy of the mark v's 3rd channel.

I use a vert recto 2x12 and a 1x12(express) as a "3/4" stack. Sounds quite good to me, and easier to move than a 4x12. Most users here I believe have a recto cab with the mark v... To add a little extra ummph. Sorry I have no xperience with the RA Cab.

i saw the crystal frets add in a guitar mag.. seems crazy. i have never heard of anyone using them, so no tone references; and would the quartz be softer than nickel? would hate to have to spend 1500 every few years to get that fixed.

ok cool. i always used the included cable... or the cable i made from a stereo cable that i replaced with one end that is a 7 pin connector (for connecting to a g major) good luck with the sale!
