Anybody Try the Tech 21 California?

I know it seems stupid since I have the real thing, but I wonder if this pedal would be like adding another channel to my C+. Anybody tried one yet? Reviews? I didn't find anything with the Search function here. Thanks

    When to Re-Cap?

The shop by me will go through and test each cap and component and let you know if something is bad. If you have somebody by you to do that that may be the route to go. I asked this same question a while back, and the answer was "It depends", so I had it checked out. Ended up doing all the...

Those wires stapled to the top of IIC+ cab......

So looking down at the top of the amp I should see a screw and a washer sitting in each of the 4 cups? How does the braided wire touch the washer then? Thanks

Those wires stapled to the top of IIC+ cab......

I got mine used so forgive me........But there are no washers in my little black cups. Just the hole that the screw goes through is metal. Am I missing some pieces? Thanks

Those wires stapled to the top of IIC+ cab......

What are they supposed to attach to? Mine run to the screw holes, but are so worn and tattered that they don't really seem to be attached to anything. Are they supposed to touch the chassis screws? Thanks, J

    Blowing lots of V1 AX7's in IIC+

Doesn't seem to matter. I've had a 2 Mesas, an Ei and a NOS Tungsram. Each lasted about 3 weeks of limited playing.

    New Gibson

The Corvus ROCKS! I have actually watched these over the last few years and prices are going up. Go figure.

    Blowing lots of V1 AX7's in IIC+

The 12AX7's in the V1 of my IIC+ seem to last about 3 weeks before they get "fizzy", lose bass and volume. I know many factors are involved, but just want to get some ideas. Thanks, J

    Xotic pedals on Mesa amps

I like the RC as a solo booster for my MKIIC+. I also tried it as a pre-amp for my Strat with mixed results.

WTT - My Yellow STR 440's for Your White STR 440's

Mine are brand new from Mesa. Played less than 1 hr. Mesa might claim there is no difference between the color codes, but these sure sound different to me.

GE NOS 7581A's - ON HOLD

It looks like a piece of the mica (?) spacer. When the tube is installed, the piece rests in the glass top of the tube and is not near any electronics. Mike from KCANOS felt it wasn't a problem when I asked him about it. I want to post the info up front so people are aware of it and I...

    New House for My IIC+

Couple of replies here: I didn't originally plan on going this route. I had Scottie build me one Thiele to house an EV12L. Once I got it from him, it made my MKIIC+ look pretty crappy. He offered to build me a wider cab, but I declined. We emailed back and forth a bit and we decided that he...

    New House for My IIC+

Thanks BB. The color is actually very close to the original MKIIC+ Bronco (?) color. Scottie was very proud of himself for coming up with that front grill.
