I’ve gigged my Lonestar where I was able to really open up the power amp and it sounded huge, full of harmonic overtones and nicely compressed. Playing at home with the amp at low volume, albeit with the pre-amp dimed is certainly passable, but not as inspiring.

Yes, both those would be good but they are much more than a simple attenuator. I’m in the UK and the Boss would set me back equivalent of $1405 USD. The Mesa attenuator, I understand, may be a little cheaper when it becomes available, but I’d still be paying for features I’m unlikely to use...

I have to agree with you there Elvis. I purchased my early LSC used at a great price as the reverb was not working. One new good quality replacement tank later, I was disappointed in the ‘normal’ sound of the reverb. It was certainly not the deep lush reverbs all the media reviews had suggested...

Well, Zilla cabs here in the UK certainly know their stuff. My Lonestar chassis and reverb tray transferred over perfectly to my new cab. No more broken back :mrgreen:

I must say, this is a very quiet corner of the Boogie Board. Maybe we have learned all there is to know about the Lonestar and, due to the models’ sheer reliability no-one has any problems to report? :?: :mrgreen:

I’m relatively new to a gorgeous LSC 2x12 as well. Had to get a flight case to transport it to gigs though as that single strap on the top does not make carrying it easy.
