    Mesa MarkV / Saturation 'mod'

Perfect tone??? I did not know I could do that with the 90w Mark V or I would have bought that instead!   Although getting the amp back to be able to rock the holidays away is doggone near perfect! Merry Christmas to everyone too!

MARK FIVE 25 TONE SETTINGS THREAD

How does swapping V2 in the 25w Mark V equate to what is being talked about in that thread? If I've read the thread correctly, V4 and V6 in the 90w Mark V are being swapped out with the 12at7. Here is what that manual says about the 90w tube layout: V4A- Reverb Driver/Send V4B- 4th Gain Stage...

Another New Guy With A Mark V.

I believe some would play it first but I have no idea who that might be! FWIW, I've been reading the thread on the big Mark V and then rolling tubes like a mad man in my Mark V:25 head. I also just put an Eminence Legend EM12 in my mini recto-slant cab. I'm pretty sure I've...

Another New Guy With A Mark V.

What made you go with the 90w, 3 channel, 9 sound big hoss when there are soooooooooooooooooo many, much LIGHTER choices? I'm actually serious with the question because after owning and selling a V:25 Express, then an Express+, and now running the Mark V 25. I keep thinking I should have just...

    Which Boogie Amp?

My choice was driven by how much weight I want to be hauling up and down the 22 stairs at my house. In all seriousness, I was looking for a very versatile tube amp with crisp overdrive channel. I wanted crunch or as some say, music with texture. The Express 5:25 caught my eye and ear. The...

    Hello fellow Mesa jammers!

This is the biggest reason I picked up my 5:25+ after I just bought a mint condition 525 non-plus model. I'm one of the biggest knob, switch and dial fanatics around and I just had to have all those options. Even if I don't have a clue on how to use them. Yet.

    Mesa Express 5:25 footswitch issue

If cost were an issue, I would be playing spoons... I wanted to get at it right away and MB is not open on Sunday....

    Mesa Express 5:25 footswitch issue

My footswitch solo light is non-functional. I've checked the cable and sockets, each end looks good and I can see the socket contacts in each socket hole. Does anyone have experience with MB support? Do they prefer to get the item back or will they be OK with me opening up the switch to take...

    Express 5:50 Plus Warranty Repair

Not sure if the OP is still around but I'm curious, how many hours on the amp when it began to fail? Doesn't most solid state stuff fail very soon after putting power to it or not at all? (unless of course an external event triggers it.)

    Cleaning pots

I like to use something to provide some corrosion resistance and lubrication after hitting the pots with CRC electronics cleaner spray. This is good stuff: https://boeshield.com/why-boeshield/
