    WTT/FS: Nomad+Cash for Lonestar?

I've got a serious hankering for a lonestar combo.... I've got a Nomad 100 1x12(EVL) w/ flight case + cash to trade... Alternatively I am willing to just sell the nomad w/ flightcase outright. $900 plus shipping, but I'd much rather meet a seller halfway anywhere in the pacific northwest(BC...

    byoc fuzzface clone

Just wanted to show off my freshly painted fuzzface clone. I managed to con a very good painter friend into painting it as a way of getting some of her art, as she has trouble giving up her canvases. The pedal was cleaned and sanded, and then painted with standard acrylic and blue pen. It was...

I called my local boogie guy to ask about changing my nomad's effects loop to series from parallel, and he quoted be $150 canadian. This seems awfully high..has anyone had this done to their boogie, and about how much did you pay?

    Excellent transaction with PaulReedNik

Just wanted to let everyone know what a great transaction I had with Mike/PaulReedNik. He double packed the nomad in it's flight case, and the pictures he took did no justice to how perfect it is. Emails were very prompt and friendly, and the amp arrived quickly. Overall a great deal, and I...

    Anyone gone the B.Y.O.C route?

I just ordered up a fuzz face clone from Build Your Own Clone. Came to about 100 bucks canadian shipped, and it should keep my occupied for a few days if not weeks. Searching for a very boogie mesa.

It's hard finding used mesa's round where I live, so it would be easier to have one in mind, and then go search down in washington for one. I'm looking for that dark creamy, might even say slight honk, mesa overdrive for my lead sound, in a 1x12 combo. I've owned 3 mesas, but non have been very...

    Gah....stiletto took a dump today.

Got the stiletto cranking today as we're having a few trees felled and the saws and chipper cover up the noise..played for about 5 mintues at about 2:00 on the volume dial through a 1960a, and it just shut down. Fuse is toast, one of the rectifier tubes looks the same as the one that guy posted...

Anyone with a nomad in washington interested in a stiletto?

Not 100% sure on this, but I'd like to be able to compare them and stuff. If you have a nomad and you live within driving distance of vancouver/seattle, lets meet up and try eachothers amps. Looking for a 45, or 100, no 55. Also interesated in other small combo's and heads. Idealy a 1x12...

    Holy Grail?

I'm looking for a good reverb pedal to add some space to my sound. I'll eventually add a delay and whatnot, but the reverb seems like a good place to start. Anyone have any experience with the electro harmonix holy grail? Most of the clips I've heard sound pretty darn good, but is there anything...

    Watch your tubes!

So...playing today in my darkend livingroom, I could watch my recitifer tubes saturate as I played, and the blue hue in the el34's brighten, and turn almost purple with my cranked stiletto. The harder I dug in, the brighter and deeper the colour got in the el34's. With the 5u4gt's, the plates...

Back is gone at 18. Which small combo?

So I officially have the back of a 40 year old man. I herniated a disk at work in october, and I'm still suffering. Job is gone, which is OK, I should be at school anyway, but moving my 4x10 blue angel combo around has now become impossible. My doctor has warned me that if I continue, I will...

    Mesa/Boogie cleans...

I've been considering selling my blue angel for awhile, but now i've found a buyer and I'm starting to wonder... My only concern is, will the next amp I get compare in cleans? The powramp distortino can be reproduced by 6v6's in another amp, but will a heartbreaker even touch the cleans of the...

What do you think is a better situation?

What do you guy's think? What makes for better tone? An ok/decent guitar and an excellent amp, or an excellent amp and an ok/decent guitar? I've always found that as long as the guitar in question was setup good, and the pickups were top notch, then it was almost completely up to the amp...

    Need pre-amp recomendations.

For awhile now I've been stressing about getting modern sounds from my blue angel. I absolutely love the power-amp for its versititly and tone, as I can adjust the wattage to varying situations for optimum tone. Unfortunately, the pre-amp, although brilliant for blue's and jazz and even classic...

Alternate Tubes in the Blue Angel.

So now that we've all tried the 6L6 in our blue angels and loved it, what about variants? Would it be possible to run it off kt66/kt88? Or any other tube? Or is it strictly a 6v6/6L6 swap?
