For Sale - Mark V Combo with upgraded speaker

Hello all, I am selling my Mark V Combo. I will post photos tomorrow, but I wanted to paste a quick note here to check interest before I list it on Reverb. It's in mint condition, has the original footswitch, padded cover, and casters. I'm looking for $1,800 plus actual shipping. I'll ship...

    Mark Tremonti tone

I saw him last May on the Last Hero Tour. Tone was amazing, as usual. Sorry for the crappy cell phone shot.

Anyone Replace C90 In 5.50 Express+ With A Neo Speaker?

I got my current Mark V combo used, and it had and Eminence Governor in it. It sounds great. I have an extension cabinet with a neo speaker in it - Eminence Deltalite II. It really opens up the tone when I use both. I haven't tried it with just the Deltalite, but I plan on doing that soon -...

My bandmate's family was directly affected by Texas shooting

Dang, man, that's horrible. I wish we could do something as a country to stop this kind of madness from happening.

How old were you when you started playing guitar?

Started when I was 12. Began gigging when I was 16 back in the 80s. Hung it up for 15 years when I got married and had a bunch of kids. Picked it up again in my 40s and began rocking again. Same old story, all over again...

So, what amps do you own?

Mark V combo. I've owned a buttload of amps over the years - including 20 boutique or modded amps at one time just a few years ago. But there's no way to play that many amps and really enjoy them, so I started paring down. I profiled them all, sold 'em, and now I'm happy owning a single tube amp.

    Blacked out that face!

Looks badass! Using primer first was a great idea.

    Mark V & Pedals.

I have an OCD, a Wampler Dracarys, and a Fortin 33 that I use with my Mark V. They sound amazing through it. I usually use the OCD and Dracarys on the clean channel (duh). I'm not sure which mode I like them on the best - still testing. The Fortin 33 is a 22 dB boost with EQ shaping, so it gets...

Mark V owner review of JP-2C (multi page post)

Love the updates. That's a great cab lineup. I also love the green PRS. Great color.

Mark V 35 Speaker Choice for 2nd Cab

I totally agree with Bandit. The V30 (or its Eminence or Warehouse equivalent) will really compliment the MC90. It will give you the low end thump that an open back cab or combo usually cannot muster. It also will add some warmth to your overall sound.

Mark V owner review of JP-2C (multi page post)

Great thread. I appreciate your very detailed descriptions of all the permutations you have tried. I have been tempted by the JP-2C for awhile, and your thread is intensifying it. My Mark V combo is my main rig, and running it through Eminence Governors (in the combo plus an extension open back...

Mark V 90w at Manageable Volumes?

I'll echo the above comments and add one more: use a clean boost if you are not getting the kind of fully saturated tones at lower volumes. Slam the front end of the V 90 with 20 dB of boost and you'll love the results.

Is today a NGD? It Suhr is!

    Congrats!

Is The Mark V 90w Right For Me?

Yes, it is 8) The master volume is good, and the channel volumes give you even more flexibility in tone shaping at stage volume.

    Mark V 90w vs. Mark V 35

If you never play a 90 side by side with a 35, I'm sure you'll be perfectly happy with the 35. I was planning on getting a 35, but my local pusher had both combos next to each other in the store, so I got to A/B them in real time. The 35 sounds great, but the 90 was just...more. Just a tad...

WGS Speakers in my Recto Cab for my V

LOL bacon for your ears  Congrats! Speaker changes can be really eye opening experiences. The right ones can be like taking a blanket off the cab. It's wonderful when you find the right combination. 8)

Mark V combo - Humbuckers vs. Single Coils

I use HBs with coil taps for the best of both worlds! My fave pickups are PRS DGTs (think a hot PAF that doesn't lose the warmth of a low output PAF).
