    Stiletto Deuce II FS

I will be travelling from Vancouver Island British Columbia Canada to Palm Springs California on Spring Break with my kids. I have a mint Stiletto Deuce II that I would like to sell. I will be driving though Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, etc. on my way south. If anyone in the...

    Moving on soon

Hate to say it.... but..... The honeymoon is over..... Finding my deuce to be too bright... too immediate... and harsh... I want a darker.... chewy... smooth sound.... So.... I'm waiting for my tax return and I'm going to get a Bogner Ecstasy. I guess the Stiletto isn't the sound I'm...

Examples of the Stiletto sound on the Boogie Web Site

There are some great recorded sounds of the Stiletto Deuce II on the Mesa Website. Settings are given as well. The 'Electric Gigue' example shows how close the Deuce II will get you to an Eric Johnson type sound on fluid drive. Great playing on the examples too. Notice the settings? No...

stiletto II vs. mark V crunch mode

I guess that would be fine but it they can get the Stiletto Tite Gain and Fluid Drive on it that would be even better. I find if I turn down my guitars volume knob it totally eliminates the need for either of the Crunch modes on my deuce. I was getting a little disenchanted with my Stiletto...

    Stiletto 2x12 or Rectifier 2x12 ?

I am seriously thinking of trading my Stiletto 2x12 cabinet for a Rectifier 2x12 cabinet. Any of you out there A/B'd the two? Would appreciate your thoughts.

    Gotoh Floyd Rose installation instructions

I have a 1982 stratocaster with the 6 screw stock fender tremolo bridge on it. The threads for the arm are all cross threaded and it's a crappy alloy block anyway. I'm debating whether to get a Callaham vintage tremolo, a Wilkinson or a Gotoh Floyd Rose. I would not order a Gotoh Floyd Rose...

BB Preamp with the Stiletto Deuce

Got a BB Preamp yesterday and spent a few hours playing with it. I am blown away by the transparency of this thing. Still sounds like my Stiletto but with some very positive improvements. Basically setting it on low gain with the Bass pushed a bit (about 2) and the Treble pulled back (about...

    Best OD for Stiletto Deuce

I'm debating what to get for an OD Pedal.... I live out of range to really try these out side by side. I'm looking for nice breakup on the clean channel and something to boost the Tite Gain a bit. OCD BB Preamp AC Booster I'm thinking the BB being a Marshall sounding style OD might just be...

    Why an OD Pedal??

I don't get it... could someone fill me in please. Why do guys... including guys like Andy Timmons, Joe Satriani, etc... use tube amps that get natural tube saturation overdrive... stick an OD pedal in front of these amps? Should I forget about channel 2 and just stick a tube screamer on fat...

    Retubed the Stiletto

Just did the retube on my Stiletto suggested by Doug's Tubes... Unbelievable ... Improved the amp 10X's Sounds very much like the Ecstasy 101B clips on the Bogner site now. Exactly what I was looking for. Vintage plexi sound. A big thanks to Doug's Tubes

    Effects through Stiletto Loop

I am using a Boss ME50 multi effects unit. I know this unit is the weak link in my system and it's a matter of time before I replace it. However, this is what I'm hearing with the unit in my effects loop. BTW, I noticed this from day one and I was able to dial it out to a point but it's...

    Stiletto preamp tube suggestions

Has anyone tried preamp tubes in their Stiletto's besides the stock Mesa's? I've heard a lot of people suggest Mullard's in V1, V2, &V3 but they are huge $$$... is there anything comparable to them at a more realistic price? I know you usually get what you pay for. Someone has suggested the...

    Show us your Stilettos

Okay... since the Lone Star owners did it I think the Stiletto owners should at least respond! I love this amp... Just nails my favorite players sounds... Johnson, Satriani, Timmons... Tangent time here..... Strat: Breeds in the neck & bridge positions Tone Zone S in the middle...

    10 watt Stiletto?

I've pretty much decided that I will be picking up a Stiletto Deuce in a month or so but am thinking what they did to the Lone Star Classic by adding the 10 watt option could be a real possibility for the Stiletto line in a few months. Think I should hold off and wait to see if they change the...

Voicing differences due to Aces 50W transformer

I am wondering what the tonal differences are between the Ace and the Deuce? The local Boogie dealer doesn't have the Ace head or the Deuce in stock so I can only go off of what the Ace combo sounded like to me. Is the Head and Stiletto 2 x 12 cabinet different sounding than the Ace combo...

    Stilleto Ace VS. MKIV

I am wondering how the lead channel on the MKIV and the Liquid Drive Channel on the Stiletto Ace compare? I prefer the Marshall sound for crunch and a woody/grittier clean sound so I think that the Stiletto would better suit me on the cleaner channels but I'm not sure about the lead channels...
