    Tube Swap Mark V-35 head

Only Otha that amp didn't like different NOS power tube swaps.

    Tube Swap Mark V-35 head

Glad things worked out for you with tube swap. I've tried both outside EL84 power tube swap with NOS Tesla's and a sweet pair of old RCA's and soon as I take off Standby Switch, it popped the fuse every time. I ended up selling the head and buying a killer Canadian build EL-34 Morris Mojo head...

    Tube Swap Mark V-35 head

Ya tnx Monster, I have to give credit to Mesa for doing their homework, because this is the first amp I've owned that NOS Preamp tubes don't improve on factory tone. I tried some different old RCA, telefunken, Phillips, GE and others and Mesa's tubes will remain in the MV-35 head. Now if I can...

Major volume differences clean channel MV-35

Can't get over and wondering if this is normal while in clean channel. If I'm set on Crunch and adjust amp, then try cutting neck to either Fat or Clean the volume drops which seems more than 1/2. I typically run off the 10watt mode and while using crunch volume could be say around 9oclock, then...

Mark V-35 Head, wide compact 1X12 Cab Tone settings

It's handy that the fine folks at Mesa Engineering included a few pages of quick reference tone settings but own sting if any of you guys have messed with yours enough to share some of your classic rock and Blues settings. Thanks in advance.

    Tube Swap Mark V-35 head

Wondering if any of you guys have tried any different power or V1 pre amp tubes. Someone mentioned these amps are designed with current day voltages and therefore NOS might not sound as good. Every amp I've had I've never cared for new production tube offerings in comparison to NOS especially...

New Addiction... Mesa Mark V 35

Forgive me Recto but this head/cab is all new to this cat as I typically own combos. Is this the Mesa cab you're referring to? http://www.mesaboogie.com/cabinets--simulators/guitar-cabinets--simulators/compact-series/1x12-widebody.html Looks like the Mesa compact wide series can be had in...

New Addiction... Mesa Mark V 35

First post amd first test drive with Mesa amp Been a long time fan of Fender tube tone and luckily still have my original 68 Blackface Pronceton reverb/SF Deluxe reverb etc. Also own the killer tone of a Swart STR Tweed. Vintage Traynors, Gibson GA-5/10 and a few Marshalls as well. I admit I...
