Mark IV rack mount with Eclipse in loop

Actually, I am a bit of a dick! My Mark 4 can't switch between parallel and serial ...but I can still use the SB8F to keep the direct signal and still have the Eclipse in kill-dry mode. I'll experiment with that. Cheers, Jim

Mark IV rack mount with Eclipse in loop

Does everybody else keep changing their rigs??? It's a religion! I just got in a band and used my Mesa MK4 combo but OMG it weighed a ton, so I have just rack mounted it. I now want to put my Eclipse in the loop .... using a Switchblade 8F to enable me to use either mono or W/D/W with a Matrix...

Questions about newly bought Mark IVB

Hi guys, I just took possession of a mint Mark IVB combo but just wanted to ask about the speaker. It has an Altec, which I thought was from an earlier amp. It sounds great though. What does everyone think? Cheers, Jim

Opinions on 2005 Dual Rectifier Solo head

Hi again guys, Sorry to ask another question so quickly but I wondered what your collective opinion is of a 2005 Dual Rectifier Solo head (R-043***). I got one recently in a trade and my initial thoughts are that it sounds quite good through either my Mesa 2x12 or my Marshall 4x12. It seems...

Ageing a Dual Rectifier Solo Head

Hi Guys, I traded another amp today for a Dual Rec Solo Head and wondered how old the thing is. How do I go about doing that? The serial number is R-04**** It definitely needs new tubes but I just wanted more info on it. Jim

    Triaxis questions

Thanks mate, I appreciate your help. I'll try all that. The lack of gain translate sto a lack of compression really - I feel it is missing that really chewy sound on the Lead channels. Maybe it's just me! Cheers, Jim

    Triaxis questions

Hi Ando I have a manual and have read it many times. Although the Triaxis works well and sounds good, the factory preset reset (ha) does nothing. Rhythm green is hissy unless I turn the gain up to 10! Therr is not enough gain. Those were my questions I have been using racks with midi in...

    Triaxis questions

Hi guys, I just bought a used v2 non-phat Triaxis and have a few points/ questions: 1. The preset reset (shift/ mode) does not seem to do anything. I want to get back to the factory presets but I can't. 2. When I am on rhythm green and put gain up to 10 (as per one of the presets) all...

Triaxis or Mark III blue stripe

Hi again guys, Yes, I can use my pedalboard with the preamp but I also have a rack shelf with pedals in my rack, which I control with a GCP Pro. Here is my current rack. The pedals are not cabled in yet.

Triaxis or Mark III blue stripe

Hi Mate! Thanks for your quick reply. I play out quite a lot but have a few amps and a big rack with other preamps. I am a midi guru as well! The issue is that I have the cash ready to buy one or the other but not both. Can you get a good MkIII type sound from the Triaxis? I like the...

Triaxis or Mark III blue stripe

Haha! I am in a dilemma - do I buy a nice Mark III blue stripe combo or a Triaxis? I have a rack with a few preamps - always wanted a Triaxis - but I also enjoy a nice tube amp to use with my pedalboard. What are the pros and cons of each one? I have a lead on one of each. Cheers, Jim

VERY HAPPY!! Export version of Mark V has 110/240!

Yeah! That means you have the dual voltage transformer. If you ever came over here or to the USA, it would be an easy job to convert. It sounds the same to me! But I mess with the sounds all the time so may not be able to hear a difference. Jim

VERY HAPPY!! Export version of Mark V has 110/240!

Hi guys, I asked a question recently about changing the transformer in my Mark V as I moved from UK to Canada, believing that I had to do this but I asked Mesa via email and got the following reply: Greetings So actually...you are just fine. I spoke with our tech and the reality is that...

    Noew transformer - or not??!

I want to 100% make sure that this is correct before I get it back. I don't want to blow the thing up when I play it. For some reason I am positive it needs a new tranny but the guy in the sop says he has already done it and it plays good??! Anyone else got an opinion?
