I've managed to get hold of an old Marshall Guv`nor pedal so I'm going to use this on the clean channel to get my Marshall tones :)

Anyone managed to get a Plexi type of sound out of their Mark V:25? bought the Mesa for flexibility and size but missing my Marshall tones :(

None, seems like it was just a faulty pre-amp tube. after replacing the 2 I've had no problems.

Mids, mids and more Mids... Marshalls are very mid orientated amps and as such cut through really well, much better than Boogies IMHO.

I might keep it and use it as a spare for gigs since it's so small and portable. I guess in the future when we start Micing things the headroom won't be so much of an issue
