That price is crazy good. Standard, non-midi version Quads usually for around $650 - $850 with the FU-2 controller (depending on their exact condition). You would also be getting a Simul 395 power amp, a rack case and shipping is included?! What's wrong with the gear? :shock:

I always put my effects in series between the pre and power amps. Has always worked fine for me.

I don't think that is repairable!

Weight needs to be a consideration here, so I say 2:90 wins!

I like a more Marshally-crunch for rhythm work, so I say use the Studio for your "singing" leads!

Oh, I had forgotten I ever posted this here! This problem was resolved a day after the original posting. All I needed to do was flick a switch on the back of my midi Quad to select the Abacus instead of the FU-2. Easy fix. Sorry for the alarm bells! :lol:
