    Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

Interestingly, this problem was solved for me when I started using the 4 cable method through the effects loop. My Boss GT-100's volume knob is between the preamp and amp so it acts as a volume controller for both channels. Dial them in the way you want, then control the volume on the pedal board.

Yup, nice to hear from a like-minded player! :-)

Another Mark V:25 vs V:35 thread

I have the V:35 combo and it is very very loud. Even gigging, I keep channel 2 on 10 watts and channel 1 on 25 (for extra clean headroom). Bear in mind that I cab clone into the PA. The 10 watts selection gets much louder than "bedroom levels." That said, it has great versatility and tone.

Mark V 35 cab clone question

The cab clone is after the power amp but is line level out. I have been using a Boss GT-100 multi-effects processor and am happy with the result. The trick is to use the 4 cable method: Guitar to GT-100 input GT-100 effects send to Mark V input Mark V effects send to GT-100 effects return...

Sorry I'm such a nube...but how do you get pics up on the site? Can't just upload them directly?

    Mark v35 combo

One of the benefits of the EL-84 tubes is that they break up well at lower volumes. Thus, I've found that when I set the tones at lower volumes at home, they translate well to higher band volumes. Of course, be sure that your sound from the PA is adjusted to your taste. Use Cab Clone...it works!

    Mark v35 combo

I have one that I ordered with Celestion V90, black bronco with black/tan jute and tan piping. Would post a pic but not sure how! (???) This is one helluva machine. Cab cloned to the PA, channel 1 stays on 25W and channel 2 on 10W. Tons of tone and power! I use a GT-100 with the 4 cable...

    Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

I've had another epiphany. I've always used a Boss ME-70 in front of my amp because of its one-stop shopping for all the boss effects that I'd need. (Begin the chorus of single-pedal enthusiasts). I recently upgraded to the Boss GT-100 and figured out the 4 cable method. (Practice tip: be...

    Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

I've had my Mark V:35 combo since January. I really like it. My dual rectifier rig sounds great but it's such a hassle to haul around. Additionally, it is so loud I have to use an attenuator all the time. Without exception. The V:35 gives great break-up at any volume without an attenuator...

Do you guys own more than one Mark V?

Mark V:35 Combo (black tan jute with tan piping, black bronco tolex), Dual Rectifier Head with Mesa 412 slant cab or Marshall 410 cab (Model 1980), Roland Jazz Chorus JC120. Got tired of lugging Dual recto around now it sits in our rehearsal space. Great amp! JC120 is geriatric so its lives...

    Mark V:25 vs Mark V:35

Both have plenty of wattage. I just played a reasonably large venue and used cab clone directly into the mixing board. It was awesome. Used channel 1 at 25 watts and channel 2 at 10. Tons of headroom. Volumes never breached 9:00. The big difference for me is the versatility. For instance...

Multi Effects or Recommended Pedals into loop of Mark V 35

I have been gigging with a Boss ME70 for about 6 years. In one board you get all the boss effects: compression, noise gate, chorus, flange, delay, etc. etc. You have 4 fully programmable pedals that can spread across multiple banks. A extra pedal allows switching between banks. It also has...

    Mark V:35 Output Master Volume

I compared the volume knob with the solo knob and found them to be essentially identical. Thus, if you dial in your volume knob then just add an "hour" to the solo knob, you have two predictable volumes.

    Mark V:35 Output Master Volume

Use an attenuator between the speaker output and the speaker. Instant single volume knob without voiding the warranty. I have one but don't intend to use it with my V:35. That device is now saved for my dual recto. There are many ways of dealing with the single volume issue. My Boss ME70...
