Ok. Thanks for the information. After doing some research it is my understanding that this mod is completely reversible. I have heard stories like you mentioned about mods being covered up. Looks like this is not the case and or if they are, they can be reversed. Thanks again!
I have seen several 3 Channel Dual Rectifiers on the web with Voodoo Amp mods (I currently own one). Any thoughts on these Mods? Noticeable difference? I believe most have the standard mod done on them as does mine. Can the amp be modded back to it's original specs?

I recently acquired a 1995 2 ch. Dual rectifier. Two questions. Why is there a silver cover over the V1 preamp tube?
Secondly, is there a particular type of preamp tube that goes in the V1 section? Or is all based on preference and what type of sound you are looking for? I only ask b/c someone...
