I'm curious what the consensus is on the Scumback Greenback Variants. Apparently there is an option for different power handling ratings. I would be particularly interested in mixing Scumbacks and V30's together.

Okay, I think I just answered my own question. For those curious, 4FB is could designate either a rectifier or stiletto cabinet. If you look at the price list, the model number 4FB is shown besides both types of cabinets. After taking measurements, my cabinet is apparently a stilleto cabinet.

What is a 4FB? Unfortunately, the forum does not allow a search on this-too few characters. Anyhow, I am aware that the Stilleto cabs were once the rectifier traditional cabs. I wonder how the 4FB, roughly being the same size as the Stilleto cabs, fits into this lineage. Is it a predecessor...

The problem is that I've got an eq (for solo boosts) as the last rack effect in the signal path. It has an input knob, but no output knob. Maybe I shouldn't concern myself so much with what the led is doing, but it seems like it should at least go to the unity symbol and not with the -10...

I've got the main outputs turned up halfway to about 5.

not sure, I think it's closed like a Thiele. You might also consider one of the older halfback 2x12's. They come up used every once in a while. All you would need is to rewire it to run mono or stereo (if that's important to you.)

The Maxon OD808 does wonders for my Lone Star, but doesn't really work the same with the IIc+ or my DR. I have gotten better results on those with the Xotic RC Booster. (I am also tempted to try the EP Booster.)

I hear people classifying their power amp as an older or newer 2:ninety, but I don't know what that means. Can someone be kind enough to explain if there are any differences? (I was unsuccessful with the search function.)

R-0514 to R-0627 are Revision E's. Great amps but still haven't been able to compare them to a Rev C or D. At the time, they were the first and last known Revision E's, but I think there has been another found (maybe 629?)

I've got an older Dual with the designation on the speaker outputs "8-16 , 8-16 , 4 , 4" Are the jacks that say 8-16 parallel jacks with each other or with the 4-ohm jacks? or do they function as independent speaker outputs? I've got an 8-ohm cab and a 16-ohm cab, so I know that I could go out...

What about the Revision E Dual Rectifiers? There are only about 115 of them in existence.

I like Mosvalve and their mosfet power amps, but I still don't think they can compete with the Mark III power section.
