Mark III blue stripe combo service

Searched the forum and not seeing a specific topic on servicing amps. My question is, if I sent a mark iii combo to Mesa Boogie to get looked over and serviced, what would I be expecting to pay? Thanks for any info you must have.

More crunch out of R1 in a Mark iii blue stripe?

Pick up a RFT ECC83. It makes the amp breathe fire compared to the stock mesa tubes.

High gain preamp tubes on markiii

Get yourself a few RFT ecc83 tubes. Put one in v1 and v3. They will make you amp breath fire. It also takes some of the bright midrange and darkens it. I also have a Tungsol Ecc83 in v2 just to give a little different taste if I use that channel on its own or blend it with ch3. A JJ or RFT works...

    Mk IIC+ Colliseum pics w/questions

Looks sweet man. When you take the chassis out I would suggest cleaning it all up with some DeOxit spray. That should fix any dirty pots.

    Skinned Alive!

great work. I was thinking of redoing mine with diamond plate but Im sure that would be a ton of work. Ever done one before?

    Which Mark III?

    Which Mark III?

I have a blue stripe and works great for old school thrash which is my favorite to play. Its also said to have the most aggressive preamp gain of all the stripes but some will argue the green stripe is just as aggressive.

    Calling all IIIC+ owners

I know I wasnt asked but since neither of them are here yet to give a recommendation on rft tubes iwill go ahead and give my source. If you look at thetubestore or tubemonger, ect you will notice just how proud of those tubes are with the price tag. I myself skip using either of those and just...

    Calling all IIIC+ owners

These type of pms and comments come from what i like to call the "corksniffers". They think their amp is the almighty because its a IIC+ even though people have different tastes and know that both amps so similarly voiced. They will do or say anything to make you believe that their amp is...

    Calling all IIIC+ owners

I have a simulclass blue stripe and i can tell you right now, without ever hearing a "III+" that you dont want to do the mod. Dude, the blue stripe just the way it is stock will make you smile ear to ear once you dial it in. Ive actually read a few comments on here where MB at Mesa says that it...

My Mark III is marked with an "R". Decode?

exactly. Seeing how Mr Mark III said "Red" in his post, I decided to look and see if mine had an R at all and it was black so there came the question of different colored "R"s. I dont believe anyone, including myself, thinks about it as a conspiracy but as possibly an identification color for...

My Mark III is marked with an "R". Decode?

according to that analogy, the purple stripe meant they ran out of black markers, red stripe means they ran out of purple markers and so on....correct?

My Mark III is marked with an "R". Decode?

I just looked through the service notes I got with the amp from the original owner and there is no mention of anything done with the reverb so whatever was done to the reverb on mine had to be done at the factory. Curious if the color of the "R" has anything to do with certain mods done on the...
