Ampteaker Tight Metal Pro + Dual Recto

Thanks for the info. So it doesn't matter that the "send" jack of the loop will have nothing connected to it? So I should select the green channel (3 ch DR) and set "Master" and "Gain" to zero?

Ampteaker Tight Metal Pro + Dual Recto

The Ampteaker Tight Metal Pro can apparently be used out front or as a preamp straight to a power amp. If used in conjunction with a Dual Rectifier could you somehow bypass the DR's preamp and run the Tight Metal Pro straight to the power section of the DR? Even if it can be physically done...

    Speakers in Rectifier oversized 4 x 12

I have a Rectifier oversized 4 x 12 cab that I putting up for sale. It's about 6 - 8 years old. I seem to remember a tech once telling me it was a good one because the V30s in it were somehow different to newer versions. Maybe it was because of where they were made or something, I can't quite...

    Jamup and my Dual Recto?

Could I use Jamup on my iPad to create a signal I could route to the FX return on my 3 channel DR and onto my Recto 4 x 12 for live use? In other words I would use Jamup on my iPad to act as the preamp and pedalboard. Then the power amp and the 4 x 12 create the live sound.

Para EQ with boost in loop + Decimator G String?

Thanks a lot for that, I got quite a bit out of your response. As for the ISP manual, I find it odd that after developing such a high tech piece of kit they seemed to have scratched the manual out on the back of a beer coaster at the pub one day after work. Why not provide half a dozen example...

Para EQ with boost in loop + Decimator G String?

I have a 3 Ch DR, an ISP G String Decimator, an Empress Para EQ, a Flashback X4 delay, a Maxon OD9 Pro+, a Wahzoo Wah and a Fuzz War. I have been trying for a while to get my board right. The Decimator G String is supposed to be used in conjunction with the loop apparently, so I wanted to do...

RA100 GAS cured by Oz prices

Had GAS for a RA100 until I checked local price in Australia; AUD$4k here USD$2k there Convert currency = AUD$2300 add 10% local tax = AUD$2530 That leaves around AUD$1500 for shipping from USA. I can fly round trip Sydney to LA for between AUD$1100 and AUD$1400. Oh, the pain! Futile bleat...

Pedal board with Dual Recto help sought

Trying to work out the best way to organize my board. here's a diagram of how I have it now; Is this the best way to do it? In particular I'm not sure about whether I should be using the Mesa Dual Rectifier's FX loop (parallel loop). To compound my confusion the G-String Decimator noise...

    Strange noise

I've read that the DR is designed to run a cold power section in combination with the very high level of gain coming from the preamp. Maybe lowering the bias to a level that would be normal in other amps has caused the problem.

    Strange noise

Hum on all channels to varying degrees. Changing the power cord made a big difference. However the power cord I removed never caused hum before so the hotter tubes must have affected the old cord somehow. Maybe the new cord has better shielding or something? I took it from my computer. The note...

    Strange noise

Note that the technician told me that he altered the bias by putting a resistor with a lower value into the bias circuit. The result was warmer running tubes and more gain. He said they were running too cold. Could this alteration have contributed to the perceived warble and flutter in the way...

    Strange noise

My 3ch Dual recto started to sound very sick so I got it retubed and serviced. When I got it back it sounded greatly improved. However I have noticed that when I play a higher note at high gain settings, the note seems to have a bump in the sustain as it decays. It's like the note "breaks" just...
